Tiffany Mahalchick Pastore, DVM
Veterinarian, Practice Owner
Dr. Tiffany, a New Jersey local, received her Animal & Nutritional Sciences/pre-vet Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University- "Let's Go Mountaineers". During her time in Morgantown, she competed in the IHSA in the Western pleasure and reining divisions. Following undergrad Tiffany spent a year as a veterinary assistant with Kunz Equine LLC at the Meadowlands Racetrack, where she gained experience and developed her interest in equine sports and emergency medicine.
Tiffany then attended veterinary school at Ross University, on the beautiful island of St. Kitts. She completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State University and graduated in January of 2016. Dr. Mahalchick is particularly interested in preventative medicine, dentistry, and emergency medicine. Dr. Tiffany founded Coastal Elite Veterinary Services in 2019 and purchased Colts Head Veterinary Services in 2020. Tiffany is a member of the AVMA, AAEP, FEI, NJAEP/NJVMA, & AASRP.
In her down time, Tiffany will most likely be found down the shore with her husband Michael and two dogs- Brody & Saxa. Some of her hobbies include water skiing, SCUBA diving, playing beach volleyball, or riding her horses like Nala, a welsh pony, who has been her companion since she was 9 years old.
Dr. Klayman, a New Jersey native, graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and after a year in mixed animal practice founded Colts Head Veterinary Services, P.C. in 1984.
As a full-service practitioner, Dr. Klayman’s interests include lameness, reproduction, wellness, ophthalmology and dentistry, and keeping abreast of the latest in equine veterinary technology. In addition to traditional medicine, Dr. Klayman practices alternative medicine, having been certified in veterinary acupuncture in 1994 and completing a veterinary chiropractic course in 2002.
Dr. Klayman is a member of AAEP, NJAEP, NEAEP, AVMA, International Veterinary Acupuncture Association, American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture, and the New Jersey Farm Bureau. He has served as an officer for the NJAEP and the New Jersey Veterinary Education Foundation.
Dr. Klayman is married with two children. His interests include riding his hunter/ jumper prospect, fishing, spending time with his family and his dogs- Ava & Luna.

Dr. Celeste Kunz, VMD
Dr. Celeste Kunz, a new Jersey native, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. As a teenager Dr. Kunz rode hunt seat equitation and junior jumper and as an undergraduate was inducted into the Jersey City University's Athletic Hall of Fame. She later became their riding coach, leading the urban riders to win IHSA regional championships.
Dr. Kunz was the first woman to hold the position of New York Racing Association Chief Examining Veterinarian overseeing horses at Belmont Park, Aqueduct and Saratoga racetracks. A member of the Breeders Cup and Triple Crown veterinarian teams, Dr. Kunz served on the American Association of Equine Practitioners' Professional Conduct and Ethics Committee.
Recognized world-wide as an authority on racetrack regulatory practice, Dr. Kunz lectures biennially at the International Conference of Racing Analysts and Veterinarians on topics including catastrophic racing injuries, biosecurity, infectious disease, and traumatic neurological assessment.
Dr. Kunz is a spokesperson for AAEP's Eclipse Award-winning “On Call” program, providing veterinary information to the media during live coverage of major races throughout the country with the goal of educating the public about the specialized care our equine athletes.
Dr. Kunz is a consultant for the National Thoroughbred Racing Association Safety and Integrity Alliance, certifying racetracks that adhere to a Code of Standards with regard to injury reporting and prevention, safer racing surfaces, medication and testing, jockey health and safety, and aftercare for retired horses.
Founded in 2006, Kunz Equine LLC provides emergency and diagnostic support during races at the Meadowlands and conducts the lasix administration program at the Meadowlands, Monmouth Park, and Parx. Kunz Equine owns and operates an equine hyperbaric oxygen chamber at Gaitway Farm.
"Dr. Celeste" is a collector of asian equine antiquities, French Impressionist paintings and her passion is Sphynx and Bengal cats.
Dr. Tori Stierns is from Northern Minnesota where she grew up participating in local 4-H shows and clinics with her family’s horses. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Bemidji State University during which she worked as a veterinary assistant at a small animal clinic and rode along with the large animal veterinarians in her spare time. Riding in the vet truck all over Northern Minnesota sparked her interest in equine preventative medicine.
Dr. Stierns then attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in May 2020 – not even a pandemic can stop her! Dr. Stierns is most interested in equine dentistry and sports medicine. She also has an interest in working with other backyard farm animals such as small ruminants and camelids. Dr. Stierns is a member of the AVMA, AAEP, AABP, NJAEP, and NJVMA.
During her free time, Dr. Stierns enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and their dog, Dodge. Their goal is to hit all the national parks and all fifty states, whittling it down one trip at a time. Other passions include knitting, biking, paint by numbers, hiking, and hunting down her favorite bourbons.
